501st Members - US - 501st Member Card Set for Celebration 3 - 2005

This card set, containing 100 cards, was funded by the members of the 501st and features images of the club in their costumes. For those not familiar with the 501st organization, it is a group of Star Wars fans who create their own costumes, most commonly storm troopers, clone troopers, and Imperials. Members of the 501st appear in costume at a variety of events throughout the year, and contribute to charities as well. They are one of the more active fan communities, and take justifiable pride in the authenticity of their costumes, and in the participatory nature of their Star Wars activities.

In preparation for Celebration 3 in Indianapolis, members of the 501st decided to create a card set. Members have long created individual business cards featuring images of themselves in costume. Sometimes these cards were to promote their availability to appear at events, more often they were simply fun items for members to hand out while at appearances.

This official 501st set is different, as all cards are meant to be part of the full set of 100 cards. In addition to member cards, funded by the members pictured, there are special honorary member cards funded by the club. Cards were handed out randomly at the convention and made available in small numbers at the 501st booth.

Funding members will each have a full set of the 100 cards. For the rest of the world, this will be a card set where having a few representative cards should be considered enough. Of course, those looking for a challenge, can attempt to collect the full set of 100

In the checklist below, HM stands for Honorary Member. GAR is for Garrison and EV for Event. Individual members are listed by their 'call sign' number.

Special thanks to Brian Hancock for the checklist shown below.
