Habib Restaurant - Brazil - Promo Cards - 2002
Somehow it seems there is always a new card set turning up where you
least expect it. Would you have thought restaurant patrons in Brazil
would be getting their own cards to collect? It would seem Star Wars
cards can be used to promote almost anything. Habib's restaurants in
Brazil are using a small set of large cards to encourage return visits.
This set of 8 Episode II cards could be found at Habib's, a
restaurant chain in Brazil. Their premiums included 4 different plastic
masks for kids (Vader, Yoda, clone trooper, Jango) and four different
clear packs with the cards, which measure 3 1/8 by 4 11/16. Cards are
glossy, almost waxy feeling. They are not numbered. Each pack with two
cards also came with one of three different "memory games" consisting
of a card 6 1/4 by 8 3/16. The memory game cards have small pictures (2
each) of Ep II characters; the cards are perforated, and you turn them
over, mix them up, and try to remember where two of the same characters
are. Great fun for kids!
Special thanks to Steve for the information on this page, and for finding another set I need to hunt down!
