Hallmark - Australia - 3D Greeting Cards - 1999
There doesn't appear to be any logical reason why these cards were
distributed only in Australia. Collectors anywhere would have enjoyed
these cards, but apparently only the Australian Hallmark company was
clever enough to realize how fun this item was. These cards are
essentially greeting cards, but are definitely collectibles as well.
These large 3D cards are being sold in Hallmark stores attached to the
front of plain black greeting cards. The greeting cards themselves are
blank. Cards may be peeled from the cards, however the adhesive will
tear the back of the trading card in most cases. And there really isn't
a need to remove the cards for them to be fun.
For my part, these cards are a slightly odd-ball collectible
that are part trading card, part greeting card, and not fully either. A
fun collectible all the same.
